What we're looking for
We are looking for a Scrum Master to join the Tekunda Team. You will be responsible for understanding the big development picture of each sprint. You will bridge the needs of product management, sales, marketing, operations, and product development.
You will translate the epics, stories, and other items on the sprint list into actionable tasks for developers. Scrum masters assign and delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring the team’s work aligns with priorities and the overall schedule and ensuring the team is fully deployed and not idle.
The goal of scrum master is to maximize productivity and speedily deliver value to customers.
What you'll do
- Helping the team agree on what they can achieve during each development sprint.
- They facilitate the daily standup (sometimes called the daily scrum) and helping the team reach a consensus.
- Helping the team make progress on the project by ensuring each person is working on the right tasks, helping to remove any obstacles to the team members’ progress, and protecting the team from distractions.
- Using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
- Training, mentoring, and supporting scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices.
- Determining and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items.
- Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes.
- Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements.
- Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing.
- Ensuring the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the scrum team.
- Tracking project processes, and deliverables.
- Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience as a scrum master or in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.
- Leadership and management experience.
- Excellent people and project management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- SAFe Certified scrum master is a plus.
