Overview
Create a Work Item to track a feature, task, or bug and automatically create the matching Git branch.
Prerequisites
- You are inside a project.
- Source control is connected.
Steps
- Open your project and click Create New Work Item.
- Enter a name and choose the type (Feature, Task, Bug).
- Review the auto‑generated Git branch.
- (Optional) Select a default org or scratch org.
- Assign the Work Item to a teammate if needed.
Expected outcome
A new Work Item with a linked Git branch and optional org assignment.
Next step
Create a Pull, Deploy, or Execute Apex action inside the Work Item.
