Action Inside Work Items

Overview

Prerequisites

• A Work Item exists.

• The project is connected to source control.

• Target orgs are connected (for Pull/Deploy/Apex).

Steps

1. Open a Work Item.

2. Click Create New Action.

3. Choose one of the action types below and configure it.

4. Run the action and review results.

Action types

• Pull: Retrieve metadata from a connected org into this Work Item.

• Deploy: Send selected metadata from this Work Item to a target org.

• Execute Apex: Run Apex scripts against a selected org.

• Execute Automation Flow: Run a pre‑configured workflow (e.g., Pull → Deploy → Apex).

Expected outcome

Troubleshooting

• If an org is missing, check Org Management for connections.

• If Deploy fails, confirm required dependencies are included.
