Overview
Back up Salesforce data and restore it when needed to protect your environments.
Prerequisites
- Access to Data Management in the project.
- Source and destination orgs are connected.
Create a backup
- Go to Data Management → Backup & Restore.
- Click Create Backup.
- Select the org and objects.
- Confirm and start the backup.
Restore a backup
- Open Backup & Restore.
- Select a backup from the list.
- Choose the destination org.
- Confirm the restore.
Expected outcome
A backup is created and can be restored when needed.
Notes
- Large orgs may take longer to complete.
- Ensure access permissions for the destination org.
