In Serpent, access is controlled at two levels:
- Workspace level → Who belongs to the workspace
- Project level → What members can do inside each project
Being part of a workspace does not automatically give full access to all projects.
Workspace Members vs Project Members
Workspace Member
A user invited to the workspace.
They can see projects depending on their assigned access.
Project Member
A workspace member who has been granted access to a specific project.
Project access must be explicitly assigned.
Assigning Project Permissions
Only users with sufficient project permissions (e.g., Project Admin) can:
- Add members to a project
- Remove members
- Assign project roles
- Manage project-level settings
How to Assign Members to a Project
- Go to the Project
- Open Project Settings
- Navigate to Members
- Click Add Member
- Select a workspace member
- Assign the appropriate project role
- Save
The user will now have access only to that specific project.
